Even if you\u2019re new to the art, follow these five easy steps and you\u2019ll be a pro in no time.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<h4>Check Your Grate<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Before you even get things started, scrub your grate with a wire brush. Wipe it down with an oil-dipped paper towel. Make sure to keep it hot while you\u2019re cooking.<\/p>\n<p>Another quick tip: if you have the choice, always choose to<a href=\"http:\/\/www.foodandwine.com\/articles\/10-easy-ways-to-master-the-grill\"> cook over wood<\/a>. If you don\u2019t have a wood-burning grill, try using hardwood chunks.
