It is built to last, offering protection for anywhere from 20 to 50 years, if not more, depending on the roofing material and design used. However, there are many conditions, both natural and man-made, that can affect how long a roof will last. I cannot stress enough how important it is for a roof to be regularly checked but my only concern is that not everyone has the time, knowledge, or skill to carry out the task. For instance, northern states typically experience harsher winters. If your area is particularly prone to beatings from the cold weather then, you should schedule a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kravelv.com\/diy-roof-winterization-guide-basics\/\" class=\"wpil_internal_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">roof check before the winter<\/a> months set in. Getting an inspection doesn\u2019t necessarily mean that your roof is in trouble but it will let you spot problems while they are small, allowing you to take action before they worsen.
