While sure, there may be homes that don\u2019t have it, since the 1990\u2019s, central air conditioning units have increased greatly. Because of this though, there have also been numerous homes that have neglected their HVAC units and ended up having to have extensive repairs to not only their HVAC system but even sometimes their own homes. If they would have had more frequent inspections, they could have avoided this issue altogether, as they would have known when to replace their HVAC systems. In this article, we\u2019re going to explain why inspections are key to preventing HVAC repairs for residential homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kravelv.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/air-conditioning-3679756__340.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-11421\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Exactly is Inspected?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When you\u2019re getting your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kravelv.com\/hvac-system-in-shipping-container-homes\/\" class=\"wpil_internal_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HVAC system<\/a> inspected, everything that attaches to your home, and is connected to your HVAC unit should be inspected at the same time, or in one fell swoop. Usually, you\u2019ll want to inspect your AC unit outside (or have your hired licensed inspector do this) to make sure that it\u2019s working properly, not full of water, not rusted, and that the wiring is completely secure and safe. If you notice that your thermostat makes your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kravelv.com\/what-to-consider-when-buying-an-hvac-cool-and-heat-air-condition-machine\/\" class=\"wpil_internal_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">heat and air conditioning<\/a>\nactually kick on and off when the temperature is warmer than it should be\n(heaters will stay on when set to 72 until it\u2019s 75 and then sometimes won\u2019t\nkick back on until it reaches 70 degrees, while air conditioners will not kick\non at proper temperatures, or not at all).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Often Should You Inspect?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You should either inspect your HVAC\nsystem (or hire a professional from the <a href=\"http:\/\/reliablestandard.com\/\">ReliableStandard\nHomepage<\/a> to do it for you) annually. This includes filter checking and\nmore, as you need to generally replace your furnace and vent filters twice per\nyear, but no less than once a year. The best time to do this is in the fall,\nand in the late winter\/early spring.
